Catching some Z's in the poppies; antiqued copper and carved red coral poppy earrings.

These earrings were inspired by the scene where Dorothy nods out in the field of poppies. Papaver somniferum is the botanical name of the plant from which opium is harvested. The name means "sleep-bringing poppy".
In 1900, when Frank L. Baum published his book, opium was legal in the U.S.

The earrings hang 1 1/2" (3.8cm) from the tops of the hypoallergenic niobium French hooks..

They will be shipped by USPS with domestic tracking and insurance included in the shipping price. I do use signature confirmation on shipments over $100.
