vintage linen with red stripes, old Dutch wringer or mangle cloth, perfect as table cloth
- - - - - - - -
I love these old linen cloths that were used to protect clothes as they were fed through the wringer (as we say in the US; or mangle in Britain). I picked up several of these during my last visit to the Netherlands and Belgium, including this one.

Some (like this one) still have a slightly waxy feel to them but it only adds a slight sheen – still has a wonderful hand feel and looks amazing when used as a table cloth! (imagine decking your holiday table with one of these – gorgeous!)

You can machine wash these and tumble dry on low (some slight shrinkage may occur since it is linen after all).

Size: 36" wide x almost 60" long
Small stain (or burn?) about halfway through (see last photo) so I priced it accordingly

Sides are have a natural finish and ends have been sewn so it's all ready to go as a table cloth – or use as fabric for curtains, pillows, purse or tote, even holiday stockings!

***SHIPPING NOTE: on my larger/bulkier items, I will refund the shipping cost difference if I've over-estimated it by more than $2. If you're interested in more than one or other items, please convo me your zip code and I'll be happy to calculate exact shipping costs.
