This dress is a showstopper. Beautiful long lines that skim the body and a wrapped, knit bodice and sleeves. The bodice is just a bit longer than en empire waist.

Found with the tags on, purchased at Marshall Fields. It's original price says:$155. Picardo Knits tag still attached. All tags removed for washing; will send with dress.

Although it had never been worn, I hand washed it to freshen. While damp, I noticed a pale peach-colored stain across right side of bodice. A soaking in vinegar, then a gentle bleach followed by time in the sun and the stain lifted. There is a very, very faint peach color. I asked someone to tell me if they could spot it and they could not. As pic #3 shows, it is not evident when dry. I haven't wet it again to see if it shows up, but you can be assured the dress is clean! I am meticulous about disclosing all details of vintage clothing.

The tag reads size 14. This is not even close to a size 14 as it is a perfect fit on my size 2-4 dress form. Although the wrap bodice allows for some give, the bust is on the smaller side as well. It appears as though it would best fit a size 4. Model is 5'8" and size 4.

Please check measurements carefully to ensure best fit:

Bust: 35"
Waist (true waist, not empire seam): 27 1/2"
Length: 52"
Sleeve: 22"
