Here's a fantastic antique Bell & Howell carrying case, originally made to hold and carry a film projector or camera. It's a wooden box covered with black leather-grained oilcloth, fitted with leather reinforcing corners and a heavy leather handle. It's lined with purple velvet corduroy, and fitted with dividers to hold some specific machine in place, but we're not sure which one. The lid is embossed with the old-style B&H crest which looks to be from the 40's or older.

A very interesting feature of this case is the screen-covered porthole on the side, as if it was made for projecting or shooting through, since it lines up with a support block inside that looks like it would cradle a lens. ... Very mysterious!

A gorgeous display piece and also a functional carrying case for film gear or electronics.

It's perfectly worn, but still quite solid. The latch works fine but there is no key to fit the lock. The corners are a bit bashed up, but that's their job: to protect the rest of the case. Exterior dimensions about 11" wide x 10.75" tall x 8.5" deep. It will weigh between 6-7 pounds, packed safely for shipping
