This pitcher is thrown by hand on the potter's wheel using an extremely pure grolleg porcelain. The handle is pulled and the rim is altered with extreme care for the perfect shape. The surface is a combination of a celadon glaze, layered three times for an extremely deep and rich green, topped with a matt black and copper glaze running down the body with hints of gold and red. The piece is fired in a flame burning kiln to cone 9 (2336 F) so that the oxygen is reduced in the atmosphere for the most vibrant effect.
The piece is non-toxic every step of the way. It is also microwave, dish washer and oven safe so that it is as functional as it is beautiful.
It is 13 inches tall and the body is 6.75 inches wide.
