This set of six dinner plates is a fine example of midcentury dinnerware. The serving pieces are a lovely cream color with forest green designs. The center of the 9.25 inch dinner plates depicts a rooster on an abstract looking weather vane. Stylized flowers and leaves surround the central figure. This pattern, known to collectors as Provincial, was made by the Scio Company and discontinued in 1963.

All 6 pieces are free of chips, cracks, and crazing. All are still beautiful and quite usable, but they just were not perfectly manufactured. There are minor irregularities as is common with pottery of this time. (See last picture.)
