********SALE*****PRICE REDUCED************
This covered butter dish is decorated with the Black Rooster motif. Pennsburry used Roosters a lot (good luck symbol), most roosters were colored. I think the solid black rooster is a little more difficult to find.
Pennsburry Pottery is from Bucks County. They manufactured in the 1950's to 1970's.
I grew up around the corner so anything I find from them is special to me, hopefully you'll appreciate it too.

Dish or base measures 5 inches by 4 inches. It is indented so lid fits perfectly. The base also shows glaze crackle from use but no chips or cracks.
Domed lid is aprox 4 inches by 3 inches. Excellent condition, no crackle, chips or cracks. There are stilt marks on inside in black glaze from firing.
