Nigella sativa. Rare. Also known as Roman Coriander and nutmeg flower. Aromatic seeds are used as seasoning in the Mediterranean where it is sometimes used in curries or on bread and cakes. In France, it is also called four spice and has been described as having a lemon-carrot scent. It can also be placed in clothing to repel insects. Germination 7-14 days, sowing depth ½”, space plants 10 to 12” apart. Grows up to 12” tall. 10 seeds. Zones 2-10.
