The Victoria Improved Pleater - Patented - Improved 1893 (Originally patented in 1880). The Only Pleater Awarded Five Prize medals and Two Diplomas - Directions are included on the old label, plus there is an additional sheet showing illustrations of the various types of ruffles/pleats that can be made with this pleater; for example, box pleats, oak leaf, shell, etc.

Measures 13.5" x 7.5" and is made of tin. Due to the lightweightness of the tin there may be some minor bends here and there but these can be easily straightened with your hand. There are a few signs of age as would be expected for an article of this age (minor discoloration of tin, but no major rusting); over-all in good condition.

Whether you wish to actually use this lovely antique Victoria Pleater, or simply wish to hang or display with your other sewing accessories/collections, we are sure you will treasure this fabulous example of antique sewing tools / accessories for the Victorian housewife.
