This dress is part of a collection I recently purchased. I instead of paper or bubble wrap, a customer of mine used 42 mod mini dresses from the 1960s and early 1970s to transport their Mother's pottery collection from Hawaii back to Portland, Oregon. Then they wisely brought them to me. The woman's Mother was a seamstress and Home Economics teacher. This dress was handmade by her.
Pearl's measurements at the time of this shoot were 33-25-38 and she stands 5'8" tall. Judge how this will appear on you by comparison and with the assistance of the following measurements. Keep in mind the original owner was only 5 feet tall and these dresses will look different on more petite ladies. Bust and shoulder to shoulder measurements are most essential for optimal fit.
-Bust: Up to 34"
-Empire waist: 28"
-Shoulder to shoulder: 14"
-Length from shoulder to Empire waist: 12"
-Length from shoulder to hem: 32"
Very Good condition rating a 9 out of 10. Freshly hand washed with no flaws to note beyond general original owner use. I think this synthetic wonder could be machine washed and hung to dry, but a little Woolite in the sink instead will keep this beauty lasting a lifetime.
