5” x ½” Copper Tubing

This listing is for an etched copper tube with a hand drawn design from the New Origins Series…reminiscent of the language created for The Dig at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Each copper tube will have a variety of designs and no two are alike.

As an experiment, I cut a 1 ¼” piece from a copper tube and sliced it in half to make a pair of earrings. You should be able to make three pairs of 1 1/4" earrings from the tube...more if you make them shorter. The piece has not been heat treated or sealed in any way. If you prefer, it can be heat patina-ed and then sealed with a micro-crystalline wax.

I purchase all of the copper from a metal recycling center. (That is an adventure worthy of an Indiana Jones film) Each piece of etched copper has been repurposed from a previous life as a ???? There may be a few ‘character building’ marks from the copper’s first life…but none that will cause a problem for future use.

This etching process utilizes electricity and a non-hazardous solution that can be used indefinitely. The etched designs are either hand drawn or heat transfers from unique design sources. I do not use stamps or other high volume resources.
