Fabulous trio of cup, saucer and teaplate from the very collectable Wade pottery in England, probably dating to the mid-century era of the 1950s.

The pieces are decorated in an art deco style, and hand-painted in a deep lipstick red with black and white skeletal stylised leaves. the cup contrasting with the colourway reversed.

The set is in very good condition, and apart from one tiny rim sliver near the cup handle, with no damage and only light wear. There is the usual light surface crazing often seen on older pieces, and a few tiny pinpricks of glaze missing on the plate and saucer, barely noticeable, shown in pic 4.

The pieces are marked with the Wade backstamp, England and the pattern name 'Pagan'.

The cup measures 6.5 cm/2.5" high, the saucer is 14 cm/5.5" across and the teaplate is 16 cm/6.25". Together they weigh 433 gms, and the estimated packaged weight is 900 gms.
