Very nice little purse entirely made with macramè lace, from Edwardian era. Found in a house in North Italy, near Bologna together with the other one here listed. This purse is very interesting, it's entirely made with a strong ecrù cotton thread beautifully knotted in many different manners in the macramè tecnique. The handle too is made in the same way and it has no metallic frame. The inside of this purse is lined in a green satin cotton in good conditions for its age with no cuts or ruptures, only with some discoloration. At the top the purse has a fly-front closing part that ends with three fringes, the bottom too ends with fringes. Conditions of this purse are very good in all external macramè lace and also in the inner lining. A very lovely purse to wear or to add to your collection of antique purses!
This purse measures 6 1/4" by 7", fringes are 4 1/4" long, handle is 8" from its half to the attach with the purse body.
