A needle felted mandrake, in a bucket.

Peek a boo! Roots is a rare mandrake root. He loves to spring out at you when you're not looking. He really wants to see the world but likes to hide every now and then, so he comes with his own little rustic metal bucket of needle felted soil.

(Mandrake roots are strongly associated with folklore and mysticism. When you put them out of the ground they're known to scream. They are also curiously shaped like a little man.)

Roots is an amigurumi needle felted soft sculpture. He can be planted deep in his bucket, left sticking half out, or sitting out completely separately. Between me and you, he loves a bit of everything!

Roots is approximately 10 cm high, and his little bucket is approximately 6 cm high. He has been needle felted from corriedale wool roving, and hand embroidered with black, white, and moss anchor floss. He's a great buddy if you feel you need a little more magic on your side. stick him on your desk, pop him in your bag... He'd love to bring you a little luck on your travels.
