Awaiting your ink or pencil, I am ‘Merlot’ – a rustic, dark burgundy leather journal for your thoughts. My reclaimed hardy leather coat will tickle your creative side enough to want to open me. And when you do, you’ll find I begin & end with beautiful printed paper made in Florence, Italy, which features a myriad of vintage postcards & photographs.

In between, I am filled with 120 sheets (240 pages counting both sides) of 120gsm archive text paper for your choice of media. Archive text is a permanent long life watermarked paper as defined in the American National Standard.

Each piece has been hand-torn, tea-stained & pressed, before being stitched into my coat with butterscotch coloured linen thread, allowing me to lay flat when in use.

Measuring 5 x 4 ¾ inches, I’m an almost-square formatted journal, wonderful for those two-page spread sketches, scriptures & doodles. When not in use, my triple wrap medieval style leather tie will protect your memories and ensure they don’t run off in the night. This simply secures on my back with a vintage wooden burgundy coloured bead.

A simple, classic style journal, I am suited to men & women alike.
