A set of 3 unused French torchons.

These vintage French metis tea towels / torchons are new old stock and have 2 red stripes running down both edges and hand embroidered monogram initials - P. T. - in red cross stitch. These tea towels have clearly never been used and will have many more years of use left and will soften and whiten with laundering. They probably date to the 1930s or earlier.

Metis is an hardwearing blend of linen and cotton beloved by the French for decades because of its natural beauty and durability.

They are in wonderful vintage condition, with some storage marks which will remove with an oxy soak and hot wash. I am passing them on in as found condition. They would be great used in your French or rustic kitchen or maybe repurposed for upholstery or craft projects.

Dimensions: they are 23.5 inches wide (60cm) by 31.5 inches long (80cm)

This listing is for 3 tea towels. If you wish to purchase other items I am happy to combine shipping where feasible, please just convo me for a price.
