VINTAGE U.S. AIR FORCE DRESS HAT

Allison looked stunning in her vintage U.S. Air Force Hat and she knew it. And so she was filled with confidence when she asked her boss Chad Sagway to let her take on the Peterson Paperweight account. The young creative director was ready to make waves at Grady & Flathead, the fledgling Raleigh, North Carolina ad agency. Sagway was more than happy to let Allison have the Peterson account, nobody wanted to handle it anyway...who buys paperweights anymore?

Allison went about concocting a totally new ad campaign for Peterson. Her vintage Air Force hat served as an inspiration for a creation of a Youtube video showing a Peterson paperweight holding down a stack of paper, withstanding the engine wash of an Air Force F-22 Raptor as it took off into the wild blue yonder. The video went viral and Peterson's paperweight sales skyrocketed. Mr. Sagway gave Allison a corner office, her own creative team and another new challenge, the Portman Pocket Protector account.

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
For sale is a spiffy United States Air Force dress hat. This handsome hat is Air Force blue with the Great Seal of the United States of America front and center. There's also two smaller embossed emblems on each side. It is made of a polyester-wool blend and has a shiny black brim. The hat is a Men's size 7 1/4, 22.5" (57cm). The crown is 11" (28cm) diameter. We think this hat is from the 1970's or early 1980's.

CONDITION:
This hat is in very good vintage with no rips, tears, stains or foul odors. It is missing the chin strap that usually wraps around just above the brim. The brim is nice and shiny with only a few very small nicks. The interior is very clean and the sweatband is in good shape.
