Lady Nora likes the best, so even though she hails from medieval times, would approve of these two very special Noreena jasper teardrop stones in shades of rusty red, gold, and grey, which combine for a spectacular pair of earrings. I've wrapped them in copper with Celtic bars and spirals, aged and burnished the metal until it glows like golden sunshine, and added hypoallergenic niobium ear wires.

Noreena Jasper, a silicified pelite (mudstone), is a new gemstone material coming from Western Australia, in the Pilbara region. It is believed to be 2765-2687 million years old, and contains wonderful abstract geometric designs, varying within each stone.

Jasper is reputed to be the stone of interconnectedness, reminding us that we are not alone, and encouraging joyous outreach to others. What a wonderful thought, in any season!

Earrings, Noreena Jasper, Red, Grey. Lady Nora.
