Antique Machinist Chest WWII Tackle Box Jewelry Box

This is a stunning piece of history owned by a head machinist who worked aboard 10 U.S. Naval Ships from 1925 until retirement...including the Langley. This gem says Union Chest on the label and has a Union lock as well. This also has the original hardware sticker on the top that says Aronson Hardware Co, 1415 1st Avenue Seattle, Wash. I believe this to be from the 40s - 50s. The age and wear add only to the beauty. It has 7 drawers, a top section for display and a cover that slides comes off and slides underneath the drawers. This is large measuring 13" high x 8 1/2 deep x 20 wide. This is in wonderful antique shape with some wear to the veneer and staining/tearing to the interior felt. The original owner used this as a tackle box after retiring form the military. This would be a fantastic tackle or jewelry box. The felt is original to the piece, but can be taken out and replaced it so desired. The top shelf has been stripped of the felt already. The original mirror is also present. Please ask as many questions as you like. With such a stunning piece, questions are expected:) The key is not present with this piece, but the latches lock down and keep this piece completely closed during transport.
