A fantastic little pair of stunning turquoise Atomic era lamps sure to cure those summertime blues no matter where you use them. Turquoise and gold works well with so many colors and the small size of this pair make them very versatile around the home.

These came my way on a trip through the wild blue yonder of Wyoming. They were well stationed on a wood mantle artfully surrounded with a few select mid century treasures. It was love at first glance.

The bases are an elongated pyramid shape made from plaster with a stamped gold design that resembles the old wood panels that one might see in a Catholic confessional. The shades have swirls of white and gold on turquoise fiberglass with bulb clips and 1/8" gold plastic threads woven through the top and bottoms of the shades. The bottoms are protected with purple/gray fabric felt. Original cords. The Plastic Mfg. Co. copyright mark is stamped to the back of the bases at the bottom as shown in the 3rd photo.

Condition: Excellent vintage. You can see a few very small chip in the plaster on the right side of the left shade at the bottom of the base in the 4th photo. This measures about 1/4" diameter. The shades are in very good overall condition. Looking at the 5th photo, you can see a small brown spot on the right shade which may be a factory flaw - not sure - it is the size of a pencil eraser. The shade on the left at the top has a slight indentation in a couple of spots but they are hard to notice in the photos and not a big deal in my opinion. There is also just a little indentation at the bottom of the same shade at the rim between the gold thread holes (about 1 1/4" long x 1/4"). No smoke or funny smells. Overall, I would still classify this set as excellent. In good working condition. Bulbs are not included of course.

Measure approximately 17 1/4" tall. The plaster base measures approximately 7" tall x 1.5" wide at the top and 2.5" wide at the bottom. Shades measure approximately 8 3/4" tall x 4.5" diamter at the top and 8" at the bottom.

Set Weighs approximately 4 pounds.

This will be shipped to you well protected via Parcel Post. The shades and bases will of course be wrapped separately.
