A gorgeous pair of floral barkcloth curtains. I always feel so privileged whenever I find vintage pieces in good condition to pass along to others and these are no exception.

The colors are a beautiful combination of a blue which is a cross between a turquoise and a bright sky blue in one of the larger leaves. These leaves are bordered with brown and have a gold vein down the center with brown and gold detail. There are small white blossom with gold centers. There is another large brown leave with details similar to the blue leaves and small dark brown leaves with gold veining. The background is taupe and displays the fabric weave so well. The overall design has a bit of an asian influence in my opinion.

These were obviously handmade by someone (not me). I'm guessing they were made to use as a valance or to cover basement or camper cab windows.

Great for use as curtains or there is plenty here to repurpose into something new and beautiful.

Condition: Very Good to Excellent vintage. There are no holes, tears or major stains on either piece and no funny smells. One panel has 5 very tiny (1mm) dark dots on the right side of the section and these appear to be some type of splatter stain from something. Not very noticeable though. On the lining of this one, there are a couple of small wear holes (lining only); one is 1/4" diamter and the other is about 1/4 x 3/4". The lining on the other section has some rust spots as shown in the last photo.

Measure approximately 22 3/4" high x 50 3/4" long. On both panels, a remant piece about 9 1/2" was attached to the other section to make it the right length. The bottom hem is 3" and is finished with a turned under 1/8 hem. The top rod hem is 1" but has a finished hem with two seams totaling 1/4". Because of this, I'm sure they were using a 1/4 - 1/3" rod curtain. Both sides are also finished nicely. The backs are lined with a white cotton muslin.

This will ship to you freshly laundered, gently ironed, and well protected in a medium priority or regional rate box.
