Vintage Board Game Mister ED TV Show Mr. Ed first edition 1962
A horse is a horse, of course of course … Remember this TV show? Well here is the board game, as originally sold in 1962. My family would sit around the TV (best viewed on the floor because they were small sets) and we would laugh up a storm over this show. This game includes the board, the TV cards, Mister ED cards, 4 playing pieces. The 4 playing dice are missing. The board and cards are in very good condition and the box is very good but has split corners. Have fun with this. Here is the theme song for the show.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed.
Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed.
People yakkity-yak the street and waste your time of day
But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?
Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed."
Each player has a Mister Ed TV show card and must collect all the corresponding scene cards for that TV show. This is accomplished by rolling dice, moving around the board, and collecting cards at the appropriate spaces. After the cards are collected the player must move his pawn to the stable to win. The scene cards contain such hilarious quotes from the show as "Yes, I'll take good old Addison any day" and "No, don't touch it. It hurts."
