This depression glass candy dish is in the signature bright spring green color. It was made by the glass company Hazel Atlas in the highly sought after Florentine Poppy pattern. This pattern is also known as Florentine #2 or Poppy #2. It is a footed candy dish.

Hazel Atlas made this item from 1932-1935.

The candy dish measures about 5 1/2" tall with the lid on. It is 4 3/4" wide at the bowl opening and 3 1/8" wide in diameter across the footed base.

The glass has visible seams, straws, and ripples from the molds, and adding to its authenticity. Sadly, the finial top on the lid has a corner chip and an edge chip. There are also a few tiny flea bite chips along the edge of the lid. All these are really not that noticeable when displayed. The price reflects these flaws.
According to "Florence's 19th Edition of The Collectors Encyclopedia of Depression Glass (2010), a mint condition candy dish in this pattern has a retail value of $110.

A really stunning piece to display near light, or to use, re-purpose, or collect.
