I purchased this wonderful little treasure at an estate auction. It's a tiny leather boot shaped change purse that was actually stamped and mailed from Spokane, WA., to the folks back home. A large part of the stamp remains, the post mark is visable and you can also see a bit of the address, which I believe was in Ohio. The boot still has one original lace and is in good condition for it's age. It measures 3-1/2" toe to heel and just about 2-1/2" high. I can't imagine this precious little souvenir traveling through the mail, as is, without even an envelope, all the way across the country. This is truely a unique and rare piece to add to a collection of souvenirs of the Native American Northwest.
