These are old and probably from around the 60s. Handmade and not perfect as they are authentic and actually were worn by the original owners. Getting harder to find these. This vintage necklace was hand made by Kuchi Pashtuns a nomadic peoples in what is now Afghanistan. It's probably from the 60s to the 70s. The traditional form of making jewelry pieces was out of melting down coins so while I know it has maybe a little silver content have no idea how much. Very few of these pieces can legitimately be sold as solid silver because of that. These were made for trade within the tribes and are very good examples of the old work. Each one of these are unique and there might be stones missing, check the pictures and message me for more if in doubt. I only have a few of these left and am down to deciding which one I want to keep for myself. When I do will put the other 2 besides this one up. This has a 3 layer of drops on it and is just incredible! As the climate of things in the world are what they are I won't ever be going over to that area for direct trade now and may or may not get more pieces from a seller I have dealt with in the past in Canada who gets them now from Pakistan. The process now takes months for me and others in the state as things have to clear each country before they can reach this point. On top of it being perfect for a dance costume would also look great displayed in a case on the wall. It has a great tinkling sound when you move and shouldn't be confused with the modern attempts of remakes of this type of design. I live rural have animals and burn cedar tobacco and other herbs in my living room so if you think that would effect you please don't bid [keep in mind any and all these types of pieces have come from nomads that have lived much worse however these pieces carry no bad odors]. I want to make it a point again, these are authentic pieces and so were worn, and probably owned by more than one person, in the traditional manner, stones that fell out were replaced with what was on hand or not. Always use delivery confirmation on everything. Shipping has just gone up I only charge at best what I pay and regret having to raise shipping costs
