Presenting a 13 inch by 6-1/2 inch bronze created by Peter Aspit (1937-1999) for Cheyenne Originals c 84. This expressive statue stands holding a saddle ready to place on his horse or having just returned from his chores on the farm. Aspit is known for the fine detailing and craftsmanship in each scultpture he made. It displays a cigar/ette in his mouth and a round of chew in his jeans back pocket. He definitely pays close attention to detail in his works as shown in this cowboy. The statue weighs 3.15 pounds and be it known that it is not a solid cast.

Mr. Aspit was an artisit for more than 25 years. His childhood interest in sculpting led to his decision to enter the University of Southern California as an art major in the early 1960's. He made his early career by sculpting fountains and free-lance designs. There were prominent giftware companies who now number his creations among their product lines.
