Vitalogy, by E. H. Ruddock, MD, first published in 1899 and expanded and updated in 1930, was the most popular and influential home health encyclopedia of its day.

A large book, 3 inches thick, it is filled with the strange and often quaint medical knowledge of the day, as well as giving some very interesting social commentary on life in the early 20th century.
It has illustrations, both black and white and colour, and diagrams of the body that come apart in layers.

Pearl Jam fans will be aware that it was the inspiration behind their third album of the same name, released in 1994.

This issue dated 1930.

The book is a hard cover. The binding is intact, apart from a piece of string along the underside, which is coming loose. The cover is a little flaky, but otherwise in good condition for age. The pages are in good condition, apart from some minor edge damage to the inside of the front and back cover paper.

For international shipping, please convo me. This is a heavy book.
