Simplicity Costume Sewing Pattern 8881 - Misses' Elizabethan Costume

Costume includes overskirt, lined bodice, Farthingale, bum roll, neck ruff and lined partlet. Steel hoop boning.
It is important to make all pieces in the order given. Set skirt hemlines over the bum roll and the Farthingale. Fit the bodice over the bum roll, Farthingale, and skirt. Fit partlet into the neck of the finished bodice and the neck ruff over the partlet.

Recommended fabrics: Overskirt and sleeves in silk, Shantung, raw silk, or taffeta. Bodicunderskirt front in brocade. Underskirt back in taffeta. Oversleeves and partlet in Crystal pleated gauze, silk chiffon. Bodice lining in medium-weight muslin. Farthingale and bum roll in broadcloth.

The names and construction used on garments reflect the time period.

For sizes 14 - 20. Broken down, that's:
Chest sizes 36 - 42
Waist sizes 28 - 34
Hip sizes 38 - 44
Back waist length sizes 16½ - 17¼
