This special vintage cookbook from 1959 is a First Edition, Second Printing copy. The spiral bound binding makes it easy to lay this cookbook flat while cooking or baking. It is 7-3/4 inches tall, 5-3/4 inches across, and has 176 pages (including the index at the back).
With many retro looking recipes, graphics, photos, and tips, it is fun to read. There are many helpful thoughts sprinkled throughout, and this Betty Crocker's Guide to Easy Entertaining has a great subtitle, "How to Have Guests - And Enjoy Them." There are etiquette tips and many recipes. The inside front cover has the name of the original owner, and this may have been a wedding gift.
Illustrated by Peter Spier, It was printed by Golden Press of New York and printed in the USA. There are over 17 chapter titles including Planning Your Party, When Guests Arrive, When Guests Leave, Small Dinners, Buffet Dinners, Teas, Brunch, Barbecues, and Pot Luck Dinners.
A small (1/3 inch by 1/3 inch) piece of the binding is missing from the top of the binding; this is visible if you click on the last small picture. Other than the above mentioned writing on the inside front cover, there is no handwriting, scribbling or stains on this original vintage retro cookbook!
