Probably made during the 1950s, this Japanese CMC pocket lighter includes a handy pull-out tape measure. It looks to have been barely used and is in excellent condition. This lighter uses a slip case design (see photo #3) similar to Zippos, but it uses a fully automatic firing mechanism that works just like a Ronson Standard. The self retracting tape is mounted into the bottom of the lighter's exterior case (see photo #1). Fully extended, the tape pulls out to 3'.

This CMC works very well and is fine for everyday use. I've disassembled and checked the mechanics the firing mechanism, removed an impacted flint, and trimmed/tested the original wick to ensure this unusual gadget lighter is in good working condition. Were it not for one or two tiny flaws in the chrome plating, this lighter be in mint condition. I've provided high quality photos to offer the best preview of this piece. Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions.
