Vintage Victorian Revival Locket Necklace

Splendid vintage Victorian Revival locket necklace, circa 1930s/40s. This beautiful piece is so realistic--a true modern tribute to the Victorian aesthetic! The locket features a lovely faux enamel image of a delicate hand holding a rose in the center. The image appears printed (not painted) and the faux enameling seems to be celluloid or plastic, which is surrounded by a metal border with a delicate engraved pattern. The locket opens on the right with two tiny knobs to reveal 2 spaces inside complete with glass coverings. The left side has quite a bit of verdigris (see 5th photo). The locket snaps closed tightly and securely, and the backside has more engraved patterning with a floral motif. The locket measures 1-3/4 inch x 1 inch (3.6cm x 2.5cm) including the loop at the top. The double rolo-style chain measures 22.5 inches (57cm) in total length including the tongue-in-groove box clasp, which has sweet little etched details as well. The metal on this piece appears to be rose gold plated, or perhaps a faux rose gold, no markings to confirm but the color is wonderful. Slight wear to the plastic image on the front, as well as minor nicks, scratches, and plate wear to the metal (mostly along the outside edge of the piece). The upper right section of the locket's backside appears to have a very small area that is ever so slightly indented--oh so subtle but worth mentioning. Overall a gorgeous wearable revival piece and wonderful modern tribute to the Victorian era!
