"My son loves his new loft bed. We all had a hand in helping make it and he was able see how much work it takes to build something from scratch. We took about a week and a half to build it with varying help of about six people. A couple hours here and there during that time. We spent about $500. We would have paid more for better wood because we did spend a lot of time sanding the wood we found, the 2x3's were the worst. And we used gel stain for the first time then sanded it after it dried for an even more rustic look. Works good on pine. The instructions for making the bed were perfect. We ended up making it in sections then assembling in the bedroom. It is very sturdy. Yes, we all love it!"
