HANDCRAFTED PROCESS
Hand-block printing is a four-hundred-year-old craft, passed down through generations and refined through years of practice. It is a highly skilled process that requires precision, patience, and deep knowledge of the materials.
Each step is done by hand and often by different specialists. Artisans carve the wooden blocks, a master colorist mixes the dyes, and a block printer carefully applies each layer of the design to the linen. The fabric is then air-dried, sewn into quilts, and finished with hand-stitched Kantha embroidery.
Because the process is entirely handmade, no two pieces are exactly alike. Subtle variations in color and pattern are not flaws, but a reflection of the human hands behind each piece — and part of what makes every piece unique.
MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
• 100% cotton, cotton batting
• Weight: Approx. 800 gms (lightweight & breathable)
• Reversible—two different floral patterns on either side
• Perfect for all-season use, layering on beds, or gifting (housewarmings, weddings, baby showers)
• Dyed with hand-mixed, natural vegetable-based pigments, crafted without synthetic chemicals
CARE
• Dry clean recommended for best maintenance of the block print
• If washing at home, gentle machine wash separately, in cold water
• Air dry or lay flat to dry
• Avoid using bleach, harsh chemicals, and scrubbing
• For stains, test remover on a hidden area first
