My name is Hamutal Elad and I was born in a town nearby Tel Aviv. I still remember my first job at an art supplies shop, where I first fell in love with the numerous textures of paper. It certainly was love from first sight. As a textile design student, I majored in weaving and printing. A long trip to South America opened my eyes to its rich wildlife and culture. Back at home I started working in textile design until I had my first child, a little girl named Gal (A wave in Hebrew). This new exciting beginning turned out to be also a professional one. I started Hamutelet and created my first collection. These days I’m living in Kibutz Nahshon in the midst of Jerusalem forest. Every morning I find inspiration in my little garden, at the wheat fields and in the local vineyard and sketch whatever enlightens me at the moment.
