I've always been into crafts. From when I was a little kid, whether it was art class, or crafts at camp, or my own creations - I loved making things. Then I got older, and started spending countless hours making scrapbooks, decorating cakes, and even the odd painting here and there. I think I was looking for that one thing I was really good at, that I could truly turn into a hobby that I could share with others.
And I think I can say, I have finally found it. It started with that first sock monkey, which took me about 8 hours to complete...all by hand, mind you. It was cute! (maybe not the best I have ever made), but it made me realize, "hey, I'm not so bad at this!!". And I've been practicing ever since, improving my technique, learning new ones, and just going through trial and error day by day. Comparing the first few monkeys I made, to what I can make now, there really is no comparison - I am definitely much better now :P.
Now I know that I can confidently share my creations with you all. I love to see the smile on someone's face when they get to hold my work in their hands. The best reactions come from children - truly priceless!!
This is my goal, and my mission is to, "Create and spread smiles all around" :)
