I am relatively new to the knitting craft, but I love the creativity that it inspires within me and the ability to give back to my community by presenting a knitted piece. I donate the lap robes that I make to the local hospital and have made many prayer shawls to give to friends and family. My next hope is to make hat and glove donations to our local shelter.
I also like the bonds that knitting creates with people you've never met - the heartbreak, the laughter, the cursing. I am currently part of a guild and frequent my local knitting shop every Friday for their Stitch n Bitch session.
I am a project coordinator by trade, but enjoy everything New Hampshire has to offer from hiking, to kayaking, to biking, to skiing, to snowshoeing, to photography. I have also gotten into running and have completed my first marathon and over eight half marathons.
