I love working with both fabrics and yarn. In my teens I learned crochet and knitting. Consequently, I always have some piece of work in my hands when I sit down for a few minutes. I've made quite a few afghans for friends and family. It also gave me the idea for working the crochet cotton into lacy doilies and other projects. I'm still working on several ideas and don't be surprised to see tablecloths or at least table runners coming soon. I'm on the lookout for more vintage patterns and enjoy learning new patterns all the time.
A couple years ago I taught myself how to quilt and soon joined a local quilting group which has been fantastic. Through the ladies there I've discovered alternate projects for use throughout the house and tweaked my version of the diaper bag.
I always have at least one project on the go and rarely back down from a challenge. I like the little details and take pride in the finished result. "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well!"
