Why we are here
3ChickswithSticks è nata come la maggior parte delle attività creative: da un hobby che non voleva rimanere confinato al divano del salotto.
Io e mia madre abbiamo aperto questo negozio nel 2013, unite dalla passione per la lana, gli uncinetti e un'infinità di progetti incompiuti. Quello che è iniziato come un negozio di peluche e accessori fatti a mano si è trasformato in qualcosa di cui vado davvero fiera: un negozio di modelli pensato per aiutare altri appassionati di lavori manuali a dare vita alle proprie creazioni.
Oggi mi dedico alla creazione di modelli di amigurumi e uncinetto adatti ai principianti, che siano chiari, dettagliati e soprattutto divertenti da seguire. Di professione sono insegnante, quindi scrivere istruzioni comprensibili a tutti, non solo a chi ha già esperienza, è una cosa che prendo molto sul serio. Se un modello non è facile da seguire, non ne sono soddisfatta.
Ogni modello in questo negozio è stato testato e scritto pensando a te. Il mio obiettivo è che tu apra il PDF, ti senta sicura e riesca effettivamente a portare a termine il progetto, perché un lavoro all'uncinetto finito è un lavoro all'uncinetto che ti rende felice. 🧶
Quando non sono impegnata a lavorare all'uncinetto o a preparare lezioni, mi potete trovare alle fiere dell'artigianato locali nella zona di Aurora/Joliet, probabilmente con un caffè in mano.

3ChickswithSticks started the way most creative businesses do — with a hobby that wouldn't stay contained to the living room couch.
My mom and I originally opened this shop back in 2013, bonding over yarn, hooks, and way too many half-finished projects. What started as handmade plushies and accessories has grown into something I'm really proud of — a pattern shop designed to help other crafters bring their own creations to life.
These days, I focus on designing beginner-friendly amigurumi and crochet patterns that are clear, detailed, and actually fun to follow. I'm a teacher by day, so writing instructions that make sense to real people — not just experienced crafters — is something I take seriously. If a pattern isn't easy to follow, I'm not happy with it.
Every pattern in this shop has been tested and written with you in mind. My goal is for you to open the PDF, feel confident, and actually finish the project — because a finished crochet is a happy crochet. 🧶
When I'm not crocheting or lesson planning, you can find me at local craft shows in the Aurora/Joliet area, probably with a coffee in hand.
