This Privacy Policy explains how AMA Remedies, a handcrafted herbal-remedy business owned and operated by Adrian & Melissa Golarte in Laredo, Texas (“we,” “us,” “our”), handles personal information in connection with our website at amaremedies.com and the online store we operate through Shopify (together, the “Services”).
We keep this simple on purpose. We are a small family business, not an advertising company. We collect only the information we need to answer your questions, fill your orders, and run our shop, and we do not sell your personal information. This policy works alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you contact us by email, phone, or text, or when you place an order, you may share your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, the details of your inquiry or custom-blend request, and (at checkout) your payment information. You choose what to share with us.
Information collected automatically. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most websites, our host records basic technical information when you visit, such as your device’s IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time. This helps keep the site secure and running. We do not use advertising trackers or build marketing profiles about you.
Your language choice. When you switch the site between English and Spanish, we save that preference in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. This stays on your device and is not personal information about you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
respond to your questions and prepare custom blends you ask for;
process, fulfill, and deliver your orders, and send order confirmations and updates;
handle returns, refunds, and customer-service requests;
keep our website and store secure and working properly;
comply with our legal obligations, such as tax and recordkeeping; and
with your permission, send occasional updates or offers (you can opt out at any time).
3. Orders & Payments (Shopify)
Our online store and checkout are powered by Shopify. When you buy something, the information you enter at checkout — including your contact, shipping, and payment details — is collected and processed by Shopify and its payment providers so your order and payment can be completed. We never see or store your full payment-card number. Shopify’s handling of your information is governed by Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy. We receive the order details we need to prepare and ship your order and to provide customer service.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
Our marketing website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing we store on your device is your language preference, as described above. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from abuse and keep it secure.
When you enter the Shopify-powered store or checkout, Shopify uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the cart and checkout and to keep them secure. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking some may affect how the store works.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run our Services. Each handles your information under its own privacy policy:
Shopify — our online store, checkout, and payment processing.
Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery, and security.
Google Fonts — our website loads fonts from Google, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers and your IP address is visible to Google in the process.
Shipping carriers — we share the name and address needed to deliver your order.
Instagram — if you visit or message our social page, that use is governed by Instagram’s policies.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business: with the service providers listed above who help us operate the Services; when required by law or to respond to lawful requests; to protect our rights, safety, or property; or in connection with a business transfer, such as a sale of the business, in which case we would let you know.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to fulfill your order, provide support, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or keep it in a limited form as the law allows.
8. Your Privacy Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of any marketing messages at any time. To make a request, email us at Orders@AMARemedies.com. We will respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access and correct it, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal data or targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access or deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by law.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are intended for adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle, and our store and payments run over secure, encrypted connections through Shopify. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep any account credentials you use at checkout confidential.
11. Where Your Information Is Processed
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may store and process your information in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred across borders, our providers take steps to protect it consistent with applicable law. By using the Services, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.
12. Third-Party Links
Our Services may link to other websites, such as our Shopify store, Instagram, or the educational resources we reference. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above. If we make a material change, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
