Patterns inspired by motherhood, nostalgia and the joy of making something truly special
When I found out I was pregnant, I found myself thinking back to my own childhood. I remembered being surrounded by beautiful handmade blankets, toys and treasures. These pieces were filled with love, time and care. It made me realise my daughter wouldn't have those same heirlooms unless someone made them for her.
So, with absolutely no crochet experience, I picked up a hook and taught myself.
Every stitch was made with one goal in mind: creating something special that my little girl could treasure, proudly show to others, and one day look back on knowing it was made just for her by her mum.
What started as a gift for my daughter quickly became a passion. During maternity leave, crochet gave this lifelong workaholic a creative outlet and a sense of purpose I didn't know I needed. Before long I was completely hooked.
Like so many crocheters, I learned from the incredible designers who generously share their patterns with the community. After making countless projects, I felt inspired to try designing my own. That's how Absolutely Knot was born.
Today I create patterns that are fun to make, rewarding to finish and designed with makers in mind.
