Video summary: A little look into my process:

I start in the studio—get inspired and work on one or two pieces at a time, using oils, oil sticks, or drawing materials like charcoal, graphite, and pencil.

Once a piece is dry, I scan it. Most of my works are 18×24, so to capture them in high resolution, I scan them in four sections. I then merge those scans in Photoshop, carefully refining the file so it stays true to the original painting.

From there, it’s ready to be uploaded to my shop!

Hi there, I’m E, and I’ve been painting since I was 8 years old.

I grew up on the Mexico–U.S. border, moving back and forth between two very different worlds. That experience shaped how I see things—always aware that there are multiple ways of understanding the same moment, place, or feeling.

My work is abstract, but it starts from real experiences and emotions. I approach painting with curiosity and a sense of play, letting each piece unfold rather than trying to force a specific outcome.

I’m based in NYC and after 12 years working in corporate while continuing to paint on the side, I made the decision to fully commit to my art. This is what I feel called to do, and it’s what motivates me every day.
