The Appalachian Icon Store is a local small business that specializes in creating high quality, hand-made Eastern Orthodox icons. Our mission is to encourage others to witness the Orthodox faith by hand crafting beautiful wooden icons and delivering them to our local communities.

At the Appalachian Icon Store we believe transparency about the way we make our icons is also essential. Our icons are printed using high quality paper, coated, then sealed on quality pine wood.

Care instructions

Icons should ideally be placed on a wall in a cool, dry area. Icons should not be stored on top of one another as the protective sealant can adhere to the adjacent icon, causing damage. In the occurrence icons become wet, do not rub with a towel. Allow the area to dry and then gently wipe the residue with a microfiber cloth.

Custom and personalized orders

Custom icon prints should be ordered via the created listing. If you are wanting a specific size icon, then please contact us directly via email (ashtonensley.business@gmail.com) or contact us here.

Blessings

Icons do not come pre-blessed. Icons should ideally be blessed immediately upon arrival. Please contact your local parish priest for more information.
