Arabesque Body Creations focuses on NON piercing jewelry design
Many people, myself included, have allergic reactions to metals containing nickel that make them hesitate to have their ears or other body parts pierced.They felt that there were no alternatives to piercing in order to enjoy wearing jewelry.
I was very frustrated with the lack of no pierce choices, especially with body jewelry. My life partner asked what type of metal I could wear - Sterling Silver because it has no nickel. We purchased a small amount of Sterling Silver wire and started experimenting. I'd done a lot of braiding so I tried braiding the silver wire, and we made the first pair of adjustable nipple rings. I LOVED THEM!!! They didn't irritate me, they looked really pretty and made me feel sexy. We kept on experimenting, asked friends to try out various styles and got lots of positive questions. " I really really like this - can you make me one like that, but different?"
And we did.
I continue to learn new techniques for making jewelry I've added different metals and materials to make fun fashion jewelry which I sell at farmers markets and craft sales. I even make pierced earrings ;)
