Ciao! Siamo Matt ed Erica, e siamo i creatori di Geek Parade (noto anche come Barefoot Sewing, ma quel nome è stato preso qui su Etsy). Abbiamo avuto un negozio eBay e un sito web indipendente per anni, ma nel 2016 abbiamo deciso che era finalmente giunto il momento di avviare un negozio Etsy! Siamo orgogliosi di offrirti una vasta selezione di articoli geek fatti a mano a Olathe, Kansas.
Usiamo macchinari per realizzare tutti i nostri progetti, ma ogni articolo è realizzato individualmente, quindi li consideriamo ancora "fatti a mano".
– Progettiamo le nostre patch in Photoshop, le traduciamo in file di punti in Embird, le ricamiamo nel nostro studio di casa e le ritagliamo a mano.
– Lo stesso vale per i portachiavi, ma dopo averli tagliati aggiungiamo l'hardware singolarmente e li fissiamo con un setter manuale per occhielli.
– I nostri disegni dei pulsanti sono creati in Photoshop, tradotti in vettori in Silhouette Studio e ritagliati in vinile termovettore sul nostro Silhouette Cameo. Applichiamo quindi il vinile termovettore sul tessuto con una pressione a caldo, tagliamo ogni pulsante a mano e usiamo una pressione manuale del pulsante per completare il lavoro.
– Le buste con cerniera sono realizzate sia con tessuto con licenza ufficiale che con tessuto che progettiamo e hanno stampato su misura su Spoonflower. (Ogni inserzione include specifiche.) Li ritagliamo con un modello, serge tutti i bordi per evitare lo sfilacciamento e li cuciamo insieme sulla nostra macchina da cucire.

Hello! We're Matt and Erica, and we're the makers behind Geek Parade (also known as Barefoot Sewing, but that name was taken here on Etsy). We've had an eBay store and independent website for years, but in 2016 we decided it was finally time to start an Etsy store! We're proud to bring you a diverse selection of geeky items made by hand in Olathe, Kansas.
We do use machinery to make all of our projects, but every item is individually crafted so we still consider them "handmade."
– We design our own patches in Photoshop, translate them to stitch files in Embird, embroider them in our home studio, and cut each one out by hand.
– Same goes for key chains, but after cutting them out we add hardware individually and secure them with a manual grommet setter.
– Our button designs are created in Photoshop, translated into vectors in Silhouette Studio, and cut out of heat transfer vinyl on our Silhouette Cameo. We then apply the heat transfer vinyl to fabric with a heat press, cut each button out by hand, and use a manual button press to finish the job.
– Zipper pouches are made with both officially licensed fabric and fabric we design and have custom printed on Spoonflower. (Each listing includes specifics.) We cut them out with a template, serge all the edges to prevent fraying, and stitch them together on our sewing machine.
