I don't produce anonymous mass-produced goods, but rather small, unique wooden pieces from the Black Forest, which gain a special depth through fire, structure, and handwork.

Yakisugi wall art and unique wooden pieces from the Black Forest

Black Forest wood, refined by hand with fire.

Behind Bläckwälder is me, Jame, from Horb. I process wood from the Black Forest into dark surfaces with visible grain and distinctive structure.

For this, I use a technique inspired by Yakisugi: I burn the wood by hand, brush the surface, and then oil it. How the wood reacts to fire and processing makes each piece unique.

In the shop you'll find wall art and boards for your own design ideas. Some panels combine the black wood surface with reindeer moss or metal accents. If you're looking for a different size or have questions about the material, just write to me. I'd be happy to check what's possible for your project.
