Con un diagnóstico de cáncer colorrectal a los 32 años, descubrí que el mundo que me rodeaba se convirtió en una fuerza consumidora que llamé 'cAnCer ChAoS'. Durante mi año de radiación / quimioterapia, cirugías, resonancias magnéticas, tomografías PET y más quimioterapia, comencé a ver la necesidad de concientizar sobre el cáncer de colon a partir de los 50 años. Labled como la "enfermedad del anciano", comencé a encontrar más y más personas de mi edad e incluso más jóvenes que luchaban contra esta enfermedad no tan 'glamurosa'.
Con cada año que pasaba de estar libre de cáncer, sentí esta necesidad apremiante de encontrar mi propósito. Durante ese tiempo creo que Dios estaba cultivando en mí las habilidades, el talento y la pasión necesarios para este mismo momento:
Ser una inspiración para los demás no por mi victoria, sino por mi historia anclada en la esperanza a través de Jesucristo. Además, para compartir mi talento en la creación de una pieza inspiradora de joyería o recuerdo que luego puede compartir su legado y traer esperanza a los demás.
With a diagnosis of Colorectal cancer at age 32, I found the world around me became a consuming force that I called 'cAnCer ChAoS'. During my year of radiation/chemo, surgeries, MRI's, PET scans and more chemo, I began to see the need for colon cancer awareness under the age of 50. Labled as the "old man's disease", I began to find more and more people my age and even younger who were fighting this not so 'glamourous' disease..
With every passing year of being cancer-free, I felt this pressing need to find my purpose. During that time I believe that God was cultivating in me the skills, talent, and passion needed for this very moment:
To be an inspiration to others not by my victory but that my story is anchored in hope through Jesus Christ. Also, to share my talent in creating an inspiring piece of jewelry or keepsake that you can then share your legacy and bring hope to others.
