After working as a professional framer for years, my favorite job ever, I knew I wanted to stay creative and continue learning new ways to practice and share art when I couldn't frame anymore. A love for the ocean turned into a love for shells and coral which became the first items in the shop. Then I branched out into print on demand coastal wall art and added more shell art, jewelry, and jewelry supplies. Blue Mermaid was chosen in remembrance of my grandparents who owned beach apartments in Hollywood, Florida with the name Blue Mermaid Apartments. My first beach memories were spent vacationing there as a child.
Now I've made a move from the beach to the mountains of North Carolina! As I transition to a new lifestyle with four seasons (so excited about that!), the shop will evolve along with me, offering additional photography, mountain sunrises, and organic items from nature for crafting and decorating; the goal is to help you create your own indoor sanctuary by bringing nature inside in various forms that bring tranquility and keep you grounded. Candle options will be added to shine soft light into your favorite spaces, and incense or essential oils to delight and soothe the senses. If you have suggestions, feel free to let me know!

I have been experimenting with AI to "play" with my photography and offer art with different aesthetics made from the original photograph.
