Bonfire Studios nació de la idea que le da nombre, mientras se avivaba una hoguera una noche en el barrio de Old Holy Cross de Nueva Orleans. Al principio, era solo un concepto que fue evolucionando poco a poco con su propio ímpetu. Como todo, se desarrolló a su debido tiempo y a su manera.
Durante una década, Jack y David unieron sus habilidades. Primero, trabajaron la madera de ciprés antigua, rescatada a mano, para crear pequeñas mesas auxiliares y de entrada, pedestales, tablas de servir y cajas de altar. Posteriormente, utilizaron tocones de árboles rescatados y troncos hundidos. Siguiendo la veta y los nudos, cada pieza contaba visualmente su propia historia durante su proceso de creación.
Tras más de 40 años como ávidos coleccionistas de piezas históricas y vintage únicas, hemos recreado y elaborado artesanalmente hermosas joyas con piedras antiguas, gemas, cuentas de intercambio y artefactos. El resultado son piezas únicas que no solo evocan la historia, sino que también transmiten su espíritu al presente para que otros las disfruten.
En las colecciones de Bonfire Studios encontrará objetos de arte en vidrio de principios del siglo XX, relojes antiguos y otras obras de arte, recopiladas y atesoradas durante años. Cada pieza está impregnada de la emoción, el movimiento, la belleza y la maestría del artista o creador original.
Bonfire Studios se creó con el deseo de evocar el diseño elemental que nuestra Madre Tierra nos ofrece a cada uno. Esperamos que estos diseños también te inspiren.
Bonfire Studios was conceived around its namesake, while stoking a bonfire late one evening, in the Old Holy Cross area of New Orleans. At first, it was just a concept that slowly evolved with its own unique impetus. As with all things, it has occurred in its own time and in its own way.
Over the course of a decade, it has combined the skills of Jack and David. First, with the woodworking of rescued hand salvaged antique cypress lumber creating small side and hall tables, pedestals, serving boards and altar boxes. Later projects would include rescued tree stumps and "Sinker" logs. Following the grains and knots; each piece would visually tell its own story during its recreation.
Having been avid collectors of Historical and Rare Vintage finds for over 40 years, we have re-created and hand-crafted beautiful pieces of jewelry with ancient stones, gems, Trade beads and artifacts. This resulted in One-of-a-Kind Individual items that echo not only history but bring their spirit forward in this time for others to enjoy now.
Turn of the Century Art Glass, Antique Watches and other Objets d'art, gathered and cherished for years, are represented within our Bonfire Studios Collections. Each piece imbued with the emotion, movement, beauty and skills of the original artist or maker.
Bonfire Studios has been created, in the desire, to Invoke the Elemental Design that our Great Mother Earth offers each of us. We hope that these designs inspire you as well.
