Willkommen in meinem botanischen Bereich.

Dieser Marktplatz entstand aus der Idee, die Natur zu feiern und zu bewahren. "Whispering Willows" ist der Name meines wilden Gartens, aus dem einige der botanischen Materialien dieser Handarbeiten stammen. Pflanzen werden genährt, viele aus Samen, und Blumen und Blätter sorgfältig ausgewählt und gesammelt, so dass immer genug für die Tierwelt übrig bleibt, um ein Festmahl zu haben. Die Gärten und Wälder Großbritanniens sind meine Hauptinspirationsquelle. Das Endprodukt ist eine Aussage, die von einheimischen Pflanzen dargestellt wird, die die bestehende Realität der britischen Natur mit dem magischen Volk von Feen, Hexen, Krähen, grünen Männern usw. verschmelzen. Die Designs sind endlos und einzigartig und das liegt an der großen Vielfalt, die in jeder Art vorhanden ist... Es wird nie zwei Pflanzen geben, die genau gleich aussehen.

All dies war eine große Motivation, die Designs zu erstellen, aber Sie fragen sich vielleicht, warum auf Kerzen? Nun, einfach, weil ich Kerzen liebe und es eine Herausforderung ist, das Interesse des Designs rundherum aus jedem Blickwinkel zu halten. Weil sie ein schönes und seltenes Stück für die Wohnkultur sind. Da es unterhaltsam ist, einen Blick auf die Details der Arbeit zu werfen, wenn Sie sie beispielsweise als Herzstück auf Ihren Tisch stellen, könnte dies die Quelle eines Gesprächs an einem Tisch mit Gästen über das sein, was sie sehen. Sie könnten in der Lage sein, eine Vielzahl von Formen und botanischen Materialien zu erkennen und zu identifizieren, die bei der Schaffung von Feen, Vögeln, Hexen usw. verwendet werden.

Von gepressten Botanicals auf Kerzen nimmt meine Kunst eine Wendung in die 3-dimensionale Welt und es wird wirklich faszinierend: Ich habe meine Liebe zu Kunstpuppen, Natur und Feenvolk gemischt ... Jede botanische Fee nimmt viel Zeit und Details in Anspruch. Der Feenkörper wird zunächst vollständig von Hand geformt, wobei eine große Vielfalt an trockenen botanischen Einschlüssen verwendet wird, um die Struktur zu unterstützen. Dann die Haare, die Kleidung... und manchmal sogar Schuhe oder Stiefel!
Ich hoffe, Sie genießen diese magische Reise, bei der die Natur alle Farben und Formen zeigt.

Welcome to my Botanical Realm.

This marketplace was born from the idea of celebrating and preserving nature. "Whispering Willows" is the name of my wild life garden from where some of the botanicals materials of these handcrafts originate. Plants are nurtured, many from seeds, and flowers and leaves selected and collected carefully, always leaving enough for wildlife to have a feast. The gardens and forests of Britain are my main source of inspiration. The final product is a statement depicted by native plants that fuse the existent reality of British nature with the magic folk of fairies, witches, crows, green men, etc. The designs are endless and unique and this is due to the great diversity existent in each specie… there will never be two plants that look exactly the same.

All of this was great motivation to create the designs but you may ask yourself, why on candles? Well, simply because I love candles and it is a challenge to keep the interest of the design all around it from whichever angle you look at. Because they make a lovely and rare piece for home décor. Because it is entertaining to take a look at the details of the work, if lets say, you have it placed on your table as a centre piece, it could be the source of a conversation around a table with guests about what they see. They might be able to spot and identify a variety of shapes and botanical materials used in the creation of fairies, birds, witches...

From pressed botanicals on candles, my art takes a turn onto the 3 dimensional world and it gets really fascinating: I have mixed my love for art dolls, nature and faerie folk... Each botanical faerie takes a great deal of time and detail. The faerie body is first of all completely sculpted by hand using a great diversity of dry botanical inclusions to suport the structure. Then the hair, the clothes...and sometimes even shoes or boots!
