Ho iniziato ad avere difficoltà a trovare online dei gemelli a un prezzo ragionevole per un matrimonio. Ho cominciato a guardare video su YouTube su come realizzare i propri gemelli e da allora non ho più smesso.
Castleknock Designs began when I was planning my wedding in Birmingham in 2014. We had a large wedding party, and I struggled to find cufflinks I loved at a price that worked for everyone. The pairs I found online were often £80–£100 each, which quickly became expensive when buying for a larger group. I wanted something personal, well made and affordable, so I decided to learn how to make my own.
I honed my craft in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, a place with a rich history of jewellery making and skilled craftsmanship. Being surrounded by experienced makers, traditional techniques and a strong creative community helped me develop my skills and refine my approach to design and production.
What started as a practical solution for my wedding soon became a genuine passion. I began experimenting with different materials, designs and finishes, taking the time to create cufflinks that felt thoughtful and individual rather than mass-produced. The process allowed me to combine creativity with craftsmanship, and I loved being able to make something that could become part of someone’s special occasion.
After creating the cufflinks for my own wedding party, I realised there was an opportunity to offer the same personal approach to other couples and customers. Castleknock Designs grew from that original idea: creating distinctive, carefully made cufflinks that are meaningful, stylish and accessible, whether they are chosen for a wedding, a special gift or simply to add a personal touch to an outfit.
